Bartonella is een van de meest voorkomende co-infecties van de ziekte van Lyme. Net als Borrelia wordt het meestal overgedragen door teken. Bartonella veroorzaakt een ziekte genaamd Bartonellose.

In aanwezigheid van deze twee infecties worden de symptomen verergerd, vooral wanneer het centrale zenuwstelsel erbij betrokken is. Veel voorkomende symptomen van bartonellose zijn: lichte koorts of temperatuurdalingen, periodieke griepachtige symptomen, chronische vermoeidheid, gezwollen lymfeklieren (vaak intermitterend), abnormaal huidgevoel, gevoelige onderhuidse knobbeltjes langs de extremiteiten, papulaire uitslag, rode of blauwe longitudinale uitslag (soms vergelijkbaar met striae), branderig gevoel, vooral op de voetzolen of stekende pijnen, hyperesthesie, hoofdpijn, oogproblemen, pijn in de oogbollen, slaapproblemen, stemmingswisselingen, cognitieve stoornis, zenuwachtigheid, angst, prikkelbaarheid, depressief symptomen.

 

Natuurlijke behandeling van bartonellose

 

Veel kruiden zijn zeer effectief in de bestrijding van Bartonellia (Bartonellose). Een van de meest effectieve kruidenprotocollen voor de behandeling van deze infectie is Buhner's protocol voor Bartonella. Natuurlijke behandeling van Bartonellose houdt rekening met zowel antibacteriële activiteit, maar verstoort ook de vitale functies van bacteriën in het lichaam, beschermt de weefsels en organen die het infecteert, remt de cytokine-cascade en versterkt het immuunsysteem.

Kruiden met een sterke antibacteriële werking tegen Bartonella zijn: Houttuynia, Isatis en Alchornea cordifolia. Buhner raadt aan deze kruiden als mengsel te gebruiken. Het product AHI Herbal Mix is een kant-en-klaar mengsel van deze drie kruiden in de door Buhner aanbevolen verhoudingen.

Bartonella vertoont een sterke affiniteit voor twee structuren in het lichaam: endotheelcellen en rode bloedcellen. Bartonella circuleert, nadat het het organisme van de gastheer is binnengegaan, ongeveer 3-4 dagen in de bloedbaan van de gastheer en bewoont vervolgens de primaire niche, de endotheelcellen van bloedvaten. Na een paar dagen bereiken de bacteriën de erytrocyten (rode bloedcellen), waar ze zich vermenigvuldigen. Door rode bloedcellen aan te vallen, heeft Bartonella ook toegang tot heem, dat zijn overleving verzekert. Door de heem in zijn samenstellende delen te splitsen, kan het de voedingsstoffen krijgen die het nodig heeft, waaronder ijzer.

Het beschermen van het endotheel en de rode bloedcellen tegen Bartonella-invasie is een van de belangrijkste elementen voor een succesvolle behandeling. Babesia is a parasitic protozoan that resembles malaria but is transmitted by ticks. Babesia causes the disease known as Babesiosis (other names are Babesiosis, Babesiosis). Symptoms may then include severe headaches, haemolytic anemia, central nervous system involvement, high fever and convulsions. A synergistic, mutually enhancing effect of Borrelia and Babesia spirochetes on the body was found. Borrelia DNA occurs more clearly and lingers longer in the bloodstream when co-infection with Babesia occurs. Then the negative effects on the joints, heart and nervous system are more serious. In some cases of co-infections, transverse myelitis with paresis of the arms and legs was found. The development of the disease is more rapid from the beginning, the convalescence period is longer, and the spectrum of symptoms is much wider.

Babesia Treatment – Buhner Protocol for Babesia

Many herbs are very effective in combating Babesia infections, to which the protozoan does not develop immunity. As in the case of Lyme disease, also in the case of Babesiosis, the antimicrobial effect is only one of the elements leading to an effective therapy.
